Unlike exercise, yoga doesn’t have the side effect of weight gain when you stop practicing it. But what happens when you do is you will start to lose the form you’ve gained.

If you don’t want that to happen, there’s only one solution. Keep practicing yoga. There’s actually much to gain than lose in yoga if you ask me.

If you are doing yoga in the comfort of your own home, you won’t really need a yoga mat bag. But if you’re taking classes or sessions outside, then you will need to have one.

So then, I have brought together and listed the best yoga mat bag I’ve found. And I have used and reviewed them too. Here are my recommendations:

Ewedoos Yoga Mat Bag

Easily the most stylish mat bag I have! But more than its beautiful and stylish design, it is very functional.

Because of its size and structure, it can fit most sizes of yoga mats. Its style is a tote with a long handle which is the same material as the bag. The strap is asymmetrical which makes the mat sit perfectly inside.

Its wide opening and long handle make for easy carrying and transport. You won’t have a hard time putting in your yoga tools and other essentials!

And because of these, this bag can double as a shopping bag or a beach tote, especially with its design. It’s what they suggested so I did. And it works! I wouldn’t use it as a gym bag though.

To add more to its functionality are 2 pockets. There’s a large pocket on the side for your water bottle and towels. The second one is a zipped smaller interior pocket to hold your keys, phone, and wallet. 

It is made from supreme quality cotton canvas that won’t easily wear or tear. It’s easy to wash and dry too!

Gaiam Full-Zip Cargo Pocket Yoga Mat Bags

The most compact bag I own today.

Gaiam is one of those brands that are dedicated to helping people better their lives with yoga through the innovative products they make.

And I’m here for it. I love yoga and have high regard for those who help others better themselves.

This product from Gaiam is for those who like their mats covered and protected.

It features a full zipper so you don’t have to bend your yoga mat to put it inside or take it out. You can use it for other mats as well like your workout mat or Pilates mat.

The bag’s material is made from 100% pure cotton. So if you don’t like your bags scratchy, this is the one for you. The material is soft but durable.

Since it is 100% cotton, it will keep your yoga mat dry and clean.

It also has an extra pocket (cargo pocket) outside for your keys, phone, or small wallet.

The straps are adjustable which is great because it can cater to many people with different strap needs.

Yoga Sak Yoga Bag

The most multi-functional and multi-pocketed bag I got.

This bag is a backpack that unfolds at both ends with a lot of compartments to offer. You have enough room to pack a couple of yoga outfits and a pair of shoes should you go on yoga travel. It’s got that much space!

If you pack a lot for a yoga session, you don’t have to worry about bringing more towels or leaving one behind due to cramped space. This bag will have none of that!

There’s even a pocket for your IDs, makeup (yes, MAKEUP), and whatever you actually want to bring you. If you plan on going to the spa after your yoga session, this is the bag for you!

There are straps to hold the mat in place and I think it’s genius. There are even straps at the bottom to keep the mat in place and not move around.

The material of choice for this yoga mat bag, or dare I say, yoga set bag, is 600D twill polyester. This makes the bag strong, easy to wash, fast-drying, and lightweight!

My only issues are the flimsy zippers and Velcro that don’t seem to work.

Uhawi Yoga Mat Bag

The biggest bag I have.

I thought the Yoka Sak will be the biggest that I have yet. Then I got these.

But like the Yoka Sak, it very spacious as well. Actually, it’s got more space because of its size and form factor. It’s a 30” x 14” bag so expect it to carry a lot.

So, how big is it really? Big enough to fit all yoga essentials and more: mat, towels, wedge, blocks, 2 small kettlebells, and 2 pairs of small dumbbells.

I know!

So follows up the question, is it that strong? Well, I actually have to carry it around more for me to tell if I do carry all those I mentioned above. Which I probably won’t because it’s heavy!

  • Can be used as a shopping bag or picnic bag

Cons

  • No main zipper
  • Velcro can’t fasten if the bag is full

If you carry your mat with its own strap and just hold other things like towels in your free hand, those can easily fall and who knows where you will drop them? If you drop your towel on the street, would you still be able to use it?

I think not.

Here are some pointers on how to choose a good one:

Size

First thing to do, you have to consider the size. A large size yoga mat won’t fit in a regular size bag. Measure your mat if you haven’t already or if you don’t know the size yet.

This will ensure a good fit and that you’ll buy the right one.

Material

The material can be anything. But it has to be odor- and waterproof. A bag with bad odor won’t give you a peaceful self.

The bag has to be strong, durable, and easy to wash too.

Capacity and Structure

A yoga mat bag’s main objective is to give a good space and area for the mat. And it’s a bag so it better has strong straps. And of course, the bag itself shouldn’t be too heavy.

Finding the right yoga mat is finding the best buddy for you. Finding the right yoga mat bag is finding the best buddy for your mat. It is essential.

Yoga Burn Fitness System Review

Lack of sleep, lack of exercise, stress, and unhealthy eating habits are a recipe for weight gain. In fact, any of these can add to your current weight.

Women who want to lose weight don’t always want to do heavy lifting, push up, pull up, leg press, leg raise, and other exercises that require a lot. I don’t want to do them myself. Most women I know just want to burn fat and tone up the body without sacrificing a lot.

And because of a friend’s recommendation, I tried out the Yoga Fitness System For Women program.

This is a Yoga Fitness System For Women review. So if you want to know about what I think and how I feel about this program, then do read on.

What is it?

It is a 12-week weight loss yoga program created by Zoe Bray Cotton designed for women to help lose fat, tone up targeted areas, and improve emotional and psychological health. It centers around what is called Dynamic Sequencing. It basically helps you go from beginner to pro.

You will be trained on how to do the movements right. You will be challenged too, as the movements get more advanced than the last. But your body will adapt to these, which, as a result, will tone and shape your body.

If you avail of the Yoga Fitness System For Women program, you will get both a physical DVD and digital downloads. This means that you can start your yoga fitness journey right away even if the DVD is still on its way.

So if you’re like me who travels a lot or go to different places a lot, I need my videos accessible. Having the digital downloads is great because I can do yoga anywhere I want!

What else is included?

Aside from the course itself, you’ll get a lot of bonuses!

  • Sound clips – Perfect for when you forgot some of the steps
  • Tranquility session – If you want to relax and relieve stress (who doesn’t?)

How does it work?

There are 3 phases in the program. The first is Foundational Flow. This is the part where you do the basics and prepare for the next set of movements.

So you will be trained on how to pose, maintain the pose, do other basic poses, and of course, how to breathe properly.

The second phase is called the Transitional Flow. Now, this phase is about making a set of poses by combing poses from the first phase to the newer ones in phase 2 and create a smooth sequence.

Phase 3 is called the Mastery Flow. This is when you merge all the poses you learned from Phases 1 and 2.

Sounds hard? No. Challenging? Yes.

But nothing that Zoe couldn’t teach you.

This is also the part where you can get to have a customized routine that will address your concerns more. You want a tight and toned core? You’ll get it. But whatever your problem areas are, the program will surely tone the whole body and help you lose weight.

My Results

I know you’ve all been waiting for this part. So here it is.

I did lose weight. Fast. It was pretty surprising!

I honestly thought I was going to lose weight at around 6 weeks but lo and behold I already started losing weight at around 3 weeks. I’m really impressed! And so are everyone around me!

And that wasn’t all. I don’t feel as tired anymore. I don’t feel sleepy like I do every afternoon.

I don’t feel as stressed as I was before which is amazing! Waking up in the morning has been great!

The first 3 weeks were challenging though, at least for me. The next 3 weeks? Even harder.

I was all over the place and my balance was off. I kept falling but don’t worry, there’s nothing too serious and dangerous. But it got a lot better after.

I regained my balance and started feeling flexible. I was able to do the stretches and poses and prolong them. Hurray!

I only expected to feel some difference but I didn’t expect it to be this good. I would credit it to the whole program. But the tranquility class is highly and truly effective too!

  • It is very effective in losing weight and toning the muscles of the body.
  • It helps you gain strength and flexibility.
  • It helps relax and de-stress the mind and body.
  • Perfect for beginners and those who have experienced yoga.
  • You will learn a lot of yoga poses.

Cons

  • Those who are doing advance yoga won’t see many results or even find it effective.

Would I continue doing this program? Yes, but without the first parts which are the basic poses. Not to brag, but I want to keep doing the more advanced ones since I already got past the first steps.
